I will be vacationing in Florida over Christmas break with my family and my 13 year old daughter wants to try Scuba diving. I am a PADI certified Open Water diver with 16 years of diving experience. I took my daughter to a local dive center that has a 15 foot training pool where she did their 1 hour Discover Scuba class. She was very comfortable and handled mask clearing and regulator clearing well. I am looking for advice on some good Florida dive destinations where I could take her for an “Intro Dive/Resort Dive”. We will be spending a week in Orlando and then a week in southern Florida. We don’t have our plans on where we will be staying finalized yet. I am new to this forum and any recommendations on locations and dive operators in southern Florida or the Keys or suggestions of where to look or post on this forum to get more info would be appreciated.

Hello Peter, I have had a few friends dive Florida, and they suggested the water is clearer as you get further west along the keys. Going to try it myself in January!! Steve
