Hello all ....

I am the latest newby, both to this forum and to Florida. I am very, very interested in finding a way that I can go lobstering during the mini-season. If anyone is going snorkling for lobsters during the mini season and would like company, please shoot me a note. Also, if anyone knows of an inexpensive way to be able to participate ... through a guide or trip, please let me know that also.

Thanks!

Hi! I am also new this forum. But I read you post and may have an in-expensive solution for your mini-season delimma.....I got married in Key West in August of last year....while down there I wanted to dive for lobsters but did nt have the money to go on an expensive dive charter. So I asked around and eventually found myself at Ft. Zachary Beach in Key West. I dove right off of the shore and found plenty of lobsters for dinner:). Unfortunatly, I do not now of any places near me that you can dive for lobsters...

Good Luck,
Michael Sapp

I guess since I don't harvest I see tons ... I can dive anywhere in Key West or Key Largo and see 4 are 5 good size bugs every dive. But I do have a camera with me. You think they know their safe? :)

There are lots of beach dives off of Broward County in 10-15 ft of water. Do some pre-season scouting and you will be ready to go opening day.

Welcome Diver.

Rent a house in advance bring your own boat have good spots already plotted on your chartplotter and eat bugs drink beer and get outrageous with friends. Jump into it.

Get with your dive shop they may have a trip going but you need to hurry up the season is upon us.
