Hi All,

New diver working on gear setup. Due to location I am diving mostly warm water/Caribbean. I recently scored a barely used Aqualung Legend LX setup in great condition locally for $199. It included an octo on it that is in good shape but does not have have a venturi adjustment and is not balanced. I don't have a pressing trip around the corner and I live in Colorado and its winter now, so I am not in a huge hurry, but would like to find a different second stage to be my octo. Since I know a lot of you have tons of gear laying around and change stuff out from time to time I thought I would see if anyone has a second stage in good shape that was collecting dust.

The requirements would be 1) balanced, 2) have a venturi adjustment 3) be functional and in good shape - I will have it serviced with the Legend before diving, 4) be one of the following brands listed below so that my LDS can service my entire setup at the same time 5) a good deal 6) nitrox compatible

The brands my dive shop is certified to service:
Atomic – Aqualung – Apex – Dacor – Dive Rite – Genesis – Mares – Oceanic – Ocean Edge – O.M.S. – Scuba Pro – Sea Quest – Sherwood – TUSA – Tabata – U.S. Divers – Zeagle

Frankly I wouldn't sweat it. By definition if you have to go to your octo you are going to be in the process of surfacing. People dove the unbalanced stuff before, the balanced stuff. I would dedicate that money to training.
