What are you doing for facts?

Isn't each Lion pack $1600 (minus $500 or $550 for each NiMH pack) and you'd need two in the long body. The retail section of X-scooter's website was down last night and is still down this morning so those might not be exact figures but I think I'm in the ballpark.

I'm sure you can tell us since you make the Lion battery packs for the X. :)

Two points:

1) Each Li-Ion Pack is $1600, including a charger. There is also a $50 ballast plate you might or might not need. The $1600 also includes the charger, you might not need two chargers.

2) Currently the Li-Ion packs are not equipped to be used "Daisy Chained", ie. two in parallel as would be necessary in the Long Body. This is likely possible, but I have not yet tested the configuration.

3 Hour scooters have a very very small area of real application.

will i was doing 3 hr brun time just so i have an hr to play with if i can stay down for two hrs all the info u guys are given me is helping out alot i was looking at the x-Scooter but not to sure yet

I agree with everyone else here. For your application, a 3 hour scooter is way to much scooter. If it takes you an hour to kick somewhere it will take you about 15 minutes on a scooter which is a Gavin, SS or X shortbody. If you are doing long exploration dives, than upgrading to the 2 hour version is the way to go. However, now you've got to consider redundancy incase you have a failure of some sort, so there are several variables that come into play.

Technical diving with a scooter adds a complexity that shouldn't be taken lightly and is an easy way to get yourself into trouble without the right training. Make sure you get some proper training and do your homework before you make a decision. For the record, I dive a longbody X for my longer dives, and standard body X for my shorter shore and boat dives.

So the the 300 minute X-scooter isn't even a reality (at least not yet).
And I agree, there's little or no need for a 3 hour "wreck diving scooter" as I stated in my first response.
