I'm not sure if I will have a buddy or not but I have a stretch of 5 days off any I may want to pull myself away from the caves for a bit to use my much neglected OW gear. I'm looking for a dive op that is more tech oriented and will go out to the deeper wrecks and reefs and not to sound condescending but cater to divers who know what they are doing. I'm talking about letting divers do their own dive plan and not having to play follow the leader with the dive master and surface when they surface with the others in the group. I also don't want an op that has many divers flailing about kicking every living creature on the reef. Thanks for you assistance.

Check out silentworld.com in KL. We have used them before and been pleased with their operation. They should suit your needs and provide good diving opportunities.

I second Silent World. I dive rec only, but on the same trip to a wreck there is an option for tec divers to do one long deco dive while we rec divers do two no-deco dives. If you want to do something like a no-deco dive with doubles, it's fine with them. At least that's how it was before the recent change in ownership.

Rent us a boat. I'll show you where to go :)

When I was out with Silent World (with the new owners) a couple of weekends ago for a recreational double dip on the Spiegle Grove, they let a rebreather diver plan his own single and solo long dive and decompression schedule, as long as he was back on the dive boat by the time it was scheduled to head back to the dock.

Conch Republic is another shop known for Tec diving but you'd have to check if they have anything on their schedule.

Other dive operators in Ft Lauderdale/Pompano do Tec diving but you have to plan trips well in advance and might have to reserve a certain number of slots on the boat: I'm thinking South Florida Dive HQ's small boat (they've alowed Tec dives on the Rodeo 25 when I've recreation dove it: the Tec dive was the total time of my rec dive plus SI-roughly 2 hours- we moved to a second site for the rec divers second dive while the Tec guys cooled their heals on the boat) and Scubatyme.
