I use the standard hose for my Cobalt computer which is 32" long. At times I need to hold the computer farther away from my eyes in order to clearly see the display or use the compass. Is there a hose with the Cobalt QD integral to the hose that is longer? I think 40-42" would do it. Thanks very much in advance for reading.

There is not but if you contact Atomic directly they can make you a custom length hose.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Spoke with Adan at Atomic and was told the hose supplied with the computer (32") is one with a "standard" high pressure fitting and that a Cobalt fitting QD adapter is on it underneath the protective sleeve. He recommended I buy a hose with standard fittings and use the QD off of the hose. He also advised that, while difficult, the protective sleeve can be slid off of the hose and put on the new hose. Now, to find a 42" high pressure hose....

Ah yes, the female side of QD can be removed from the hose. I was thinking it was fixed like the male side on the computer (something I do not like). So yeah, just buy a hose with the length you want. Sorry for initially leading you astray.

As for removing the hose protector. Put it in really hot water for a few minutes as that will soften the rubber up and make it slide off easier.

Thanks for info!
