Looking for a dive buddy for a Long Island shore dive this Wednesday, September 26th.

I'm open to dive a couple different spots.

Possible sites that I have dove: Beach 8th, Cedar Beach, Horton Point.

I also would not mind exploring/checking out either Duck Pond Point, Kenny's Road Beach or Rocky Point Landing.

Anybody up for any of these spots, let me know. We can work out a time based on the tidal schedule of the particular site.

Quick info on me: 71 total dives. 19 dives in the last 2 months, 13 of them LI shore dives.

I cannot do a dive during the week but am available most weekends.

Normally I can't either. Taking advantage of a holiday ;)

Got a bite and the dive is set for Horton. I'll let all know conditions Wednesday night-ish.

We'll be there hitting the water around 9:00 AM, if any are interested.

Is Wed the 26th the only week day you can dive or are there others?

I teach in a public school in Queens, so I have off this Wednesday.

If the timing of the tides is right, the stars are aligned, and I have enough notice, I'd do a night dive at Beach 8 during the week if there are enough interested - there are still quite a few tropicals there last I checked (Sep 9th).

The Horton Point dive requires a long walk down to the beach, about 125 steps and the tidal window is small. You could make this dive on a 30 or 40 cu/ft tank if you own one and bring the least amount of equipment required. The walk back up is the same amount of steps but will feel like twice as long.
