I'm a Fish!
We have a dive master into freediving, who loves his long fins. I have to say I am jealous and would love to get a pair of these fins for myself and my limited free diving/ breath holding experience, but alas I wear between a size 4 and 5 men's and have not been able to find a pair that will fit. I am trying to avoid adjustable fins and/or having to wear booties or socks etc underneath. Am curious about the mono fin, but again it is about size. Any info would be much appreciated. Many thanks and happy safe diving

These are the long fins that I currently love to wear when I'm snorkelling, Mexican-made all-rubber Escualos, because they're so comfortable. They come in twelve sizes, from child 9 to adult 16:

Finding small-sized competitive performance long freediving fins can be a problem, though, as this message reveals:

Fins for females - DeeperBlue.net Forums

I think you are likelier to get a definitive answer if you join the Deeper Blue forum where the above thread came from.

In the meantime, there is another way of wearing full-foot fins that are slightly too big, fin grips:

They do work - I have used a pair for years.

I always wear neoprene socks with my Gara 2000's because climbing up a boat ladder with full gear and bare feet is suicide and walking up a rocky beach with bare feet is just dam painful. Also I have never once gotten blisters or cold feet!!

Well as a female freediver I've run into this problem many times and what I and my students have found is the best option (until someone comes out w/ women's sizes in freediving longblade fins) is thick socks and fin keepers. I do that and my way-too-big fins sort of fit now. :)

I agree with the socks in the full foot, long blade fins. (I've used Beuchats and Riffe) When I'm free diving I'm in the water for up to 4 hours. Without socks almost any fin will give me blisters. Even with socks I sometimes get them. The long blades put a little more movement into the foot of the fin which can irritate the skin more. I'm actually getting a little cyst on the top of my foot from the fins.
