what surface you planning on pulling it over?

The reason I ask is that most dive sites don't have a paved walkway to the water.
consider something with larger air filled tires for sand, gravel, etc.

California Dive Company makes a neat dive site cart. but it's kinda overpriced (in my opinion. It cost $260, plus $50 for inflatable tires and $100 for "beach tires". (they don't have pics of their larger tires anymore).

In my opinion, there is no way you could pull that box in the below pic across the sand with those tires, especially with gear and a tank in it. It also weighs 30 pounds empty before you put gear in it.

For another option, check out the Rollies Beach cart in this thread

I've used this cart before and it worked pretty good. It was pullable in soft sand with 2 sets of gear in it. (including 2 tanks and weights). Those big sand tires make all the difference.

Hope that helps some. Do whats best for where you're going to use it, Just proving some more items for thought.

If sand is a consideration, then I agree with Mike_S. If you're looking for long travel, boat, out of the vehicle type of case, then I like the pelican, in the 1610 model. It locks for shipping on a flight, it keeps everything together, is almost bullet proof, and will last forever. However, I readily admit that if you're trying to take it across any terrain besides asphalt or concrete you may have an issue. I like mine quite a bit.
$.02 YMMV.

I have the smaller of the two Stanely chests and it is perfect, fits in the hold of the Catalina ferry, carts my gear to the park from blocks away, and can fit two al80's strapped to the top (note: use ratchet tiedown and rubber floor mat underneath and tanks do not slip, also I trimmed off that hand saw holder from the lid so it did not stick down into gear)
(pic is with my steel HP 100)

BTW the dimensions of the small 24G one are incorrect ... Stanley 24
Outside approx ...
30L x 18.5W x 18.5D
Inside approx ...
27L x 14.5W x 18D

My friend has both, the large 37" one can hold his al80 and gear together.. he uses it to store his gear, and uses the 24G one to haul it to the park
