Hello fellow human fishies,
this is my first time ever posting on scubaboard but I have been stalking you guys anonymously for the past two years or so.
I started diving about 3 years ago but really only got into it this year and am falling more and more in love with it every time I go down.
Most of my logged dives have been completed in the cold waters of the PNW in and around Vancouver. The past year I have had the pleasure of diving in Maui and several islands in the Caribbean and have developed a liking for warmer water diving.
Since my job allows me to work from pretty much anywhere in North America and I am trying to improve my Spanish, I am now planning on "moving" to Playa del Carmen for 3-6 months starting April 1st, 2016.
All of my local dives are organized by other local divers as part of a meetup group or by local dive shops.
I was wondering if there are similar opportunities in Playa or the surrounding areas? I pride myself in being a pretty good internet researcher but have not found anything at all regarding this.
I would hate to move across the continent in search of a different experience just to end up diving a lot less due to cost than at home.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
