REII:
I have an Aeris AI. I do not wear anything on my wrists when diving for that reason. You never know when you will need the free hand that computer is on will be needed to grab a hold of Lobzilla.

Also being from Florida, I'm in agreement too, don't wear anything on your wrists. Sometimes that bug gets back in the hole and it's going to take both hands to reach in to get around the knuckles to shake him out. If he really rocks up and digs his horns in, you'll need both hands. We also deal with alot of sand so anything on your chest or wrists is going to fail eventually.

I have a stinger that I wear under my wetsuit sleeve and then pull my glove over that. Leaves me with a thick wrist but protects it from scratches until I need it.

Personally, I don't like having accessories hanging on my arms when bug'n. I've lost a few expensive dive watches early on.

I guess it really boils down to hunting style. The truly committed/aggressive hunters are not shy about contorting their limbs into the tightest deepest little holes possible in order to reach the prize. Some situations set up better left handed ... some right handed ... some both handed ... some upside down ... some on your back ... etc. I'll go in all the way up to my shoulder or beyond to get those few extra precious inches of reach at times. For me, wearing a computer or compass on any part of either arm would eventually result in a loss of choices and degrees of freedom. Basically, it doesn't match my style of hunting ... there would be some bugs that I would not be getting.

Bottom line, though, it really doesn't matter so long as it works for you and your hunting style. At the end of the dive if your limit of bugs in the bag, then you done good !
