Can anyone tell me how to go about building a lobster dive bag? I have been told it's a relatively easy thing to do (and far less expensive than buying lobster bags) but I don't know what materials I need or how to go about doing it. I am going on my first lobster dive next month. Thanks!

I'd go down to my LDS and play with one, you should be able to build it pretty easily. (Plans are nice, but there's no substitute for actually having studied the item you're making.)

You might also want to just consider buying one on ebay. I saw these: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3627495565&category=1300, though I have not actually seen one in person. Good feedback. $15 including shipping, no tax. (nothing in this for me, I assure you.)

I have had good experience for the most part buying stuff on ebay, and their feedback looks pretty good.

Good luck
