Hi everybody,
I'n new to diving, just got my certs in the Perhentians a few weeks ago.
I really want to do a liveaboard in Thailand but won't be able to till at least the 15 may. what about doing liveaboards in the gulf of thailand, everywhere I look I see the similans and Phuket and pipi, does nobody dive or do liveaboards on the East coast, is it that bad that nobody dares even mention them, well that might be a wee bit of an overstatement, but anyway what's the deal with libveaboards and the middle of May
Cheers.

There are liveaboards in the Gulf of Thailand, but in general the divesites are not that far away that it is necessary to take a liveaboard, all sites are basically accessible by daytrip.
Also in general, IMO, the sites in the Gulf are less than those of places like Hin Daeng and the Similans. There is another thread with an extensive discussion on liveaboard diving in the Similans in the low season.

Thanks but it turns out I'm heading over to Cambodia sooner than I thought, it just gives me a reason to come back here again sooner rather than later.
