@octopuppy.. how did you like the dewi nusantara? Also, I agree with the plan suggested by highdesert. We have been to RA 3x( 3 different ways) and the best way was flying into Manado from Singapore!
Silk air is great and Lembeh is an awesome way to break up the trip! We usually stay at KBR and they are also great! Have a wonderful trip!
Did this senario recently. Stayed at Kasawari-Lembeh Dive Resort diving Lembeh Straight for three days and connected Manado to Sorong to board the Dewi Nusantara. I can't say enough good things about this place. Perfect to get over jet lag, top-notch dive op, great food - just killer muck diving. Very comfortable and they handle transport to and from airport and get you set up for your flight. Get a day room in Singapore airport to get some ZZZS and a shower before your Manado connection.

haha.. Allison! Jason means Simon and I.. :p When are the 3 Finch sisters coming back to Indo? I am based in Bali now, so can show you around my neck of the woods :) hopefully with better weather than the last time we did a trip!
Although I don't work at NAD anymore.. I will be there a bunch in 2013. :) Simon and Zee still run it and Serge will be back soon...

Funny you should ask. We will be in Indo next fall. Going to go back to Lembeh then Chenderawasih Bay. Not sure if anything will be added to that trip, yet. Bali, huh? Hmmmm.....need to go back there again, too.

jake11: LOVED the Dewi Nusantara. What a beautiful boat!. Three masted schooner and elegant details - made of ironwood. Top notch dive crew. 4+ dives a day. They take care of your gear, good camera room set up, fresh warm shower and VERY NICE warm towels and shoulder rub when you get back from dives. Huge, comfortable rooms. We were able to take optional short island visits between dives to see fruit bat colonies, roosting hornbills, coconut crabs, pearl ranch, beachcomb and see several red Bird of Paradise at their lek at dawn. The diving spectacular! Great combination of soft coral and muck. Guides are super! About 3-1 ratio. When I get through 1700 video clips, I'll post. Food was good but a bit too much on the spicy/cabbage for my tastes but plentiful and chef accomodating. The boat had a few leaky bits but she had just come back from dry dock and am sure they've been fixed by now. Highly recommend.

Glad you liked her and their awesome crew! We just got off of her before she went into dry dock. That was our 3rd time and I am sure we will be back on her again! :0)
Who was your dive master?
