Hi,
Planning a liveaboard for at least 6+ nights in February. Strongly thinking of Thailand. Want a bit of comfort so a nice boat and good itinery. Want to get the best deal though as not too flush with the $$$. Can anyone suggest a nice liveaboard that and where would be the cheapest place to book it etc. Had been lookin at the Mermaid 1. Looks lovely but its working out over 2k per person for 9 nights. Think that pretty expensive! Any idea's??:D Thanks guys.:D

Boats that I like, comfortable and good value for money are e.g. Queen Scuba and Black Manta. However, both boats only offer 4 days/4 nights trips.

For a longer trip you can check out Colona VI, always happy guests but less comfortable than the earlier mentioned boats. Also offer longer trips and nice boats are Pawara, where part of the trip will go South to Hin Daeng and Hin Muang, and Nautica. And finally there is also Philkade. I'm sure you'll like this boat as well, they also offer longer trips, but are in the top price bracket.

The cheapest boats are out of Ranong, A-1 and Alladin. A-1 boat is pretty nice, Alladin not so much but they all dive the same places. Also the White Manta is a nice boat out of Koh Lak and cheaper then the boats mentioned in this thread. Good people on all boats.

These boats are cheap, but there are cheaper options available.

However, the Op is looking for for a nice boat with comfort, and that does not fit either of these two boats. The White Manta is good value for money IMO, but the earlier in this thread mentioned boats do offer considerably more comfort.
