Liveaboard Options for July?

Any 3-4 day liveaboard options from mid-July to early August, hitting the Channel Islands? None of the boats I know of seem to run open charters, so how does one go about booking these? General idea of costs? I'll be staying in Westwood. Thanks!

Does the Peace have open charters? When you, Robyn, and the others did that trip last year, how was that scheduled? I'll take a look at the stuff leaving from SB. When are you going to Coz? Why don'y YOU join us for some SoCal dives! We'll be hitting both SD and LA.

Last year I chartered the Peace. If you want a 2-day trip (they're somewhat rare), look over their schedule page and if one falls during your trip, you can contact whoever has the charter (90+% of the time it's an LDS or a local dive club you can contact) and see if they are full or if they are still taking people. This far out you should be able to find some.

I'm looking at July for Coz, but I haven't booked anything yet. Very preliminary at this point, esp since my friend I was going to go with may be backing out and it's tough to do solo since everything has a single surcharge.

And of COURSE I hope to join you two when you visit, schedule permitting!

Our tentative plan now is:
7/13-7/19 in LA
7/20-7/30 in SD
7/31-8/14 in LA

SD is for fun, LA is mostly for work. Weekdays in LA will be for research, and weekends for diving. Nights are also fair game for dives. Hopefully we'll get many chances to get into the water together.

Sounds good! Even if Coz falls in there somewhere, that's be no more than 8 days or so, and given a month to play with I'm sure we can make it happen.

Plus, if we can pry Robyn away from her books, and I can cajole Jesse into leaving work, food could happen.

Definitely sounds like this is going to work out. Robyn and I have agreed to work like crazy during the days so we'll have nights and weekends free. Should be many, many chances for diving and other fun.
