Well I did consider the Cayman Aggressor but when you read the trip reports they say that they can't always make the crossing that time of year and that makes me a little nervous cause I would hate to miss the bloody bay wall.

Ok.... well Utila Agressor is out. I just called to check on availability and they said it was being pulled from the fleet after september and becoming a private charter. hmmm

We went to Belize last year and had a blast. We are considering it again since my son hasn't seen it. I can also do a little mayan touring as well.

The other option we are considering is Turks&Caicos on the Aggressor. How does that compare with cozumel/ Belize diving?

Have been to provo resort based and the boat rides where far too long I guess on a liveaboard would be better
Fish life wise looked less sharks than Bahamas still rays and turtles and occasional dolphin
and looking at pictures less critters than Belize
We had a great holiday in Provo also because grace bay beach is awesome
If you haven't been and haven't been to Bahamas TCI makes a convenient liveaboard however in April you might still be in the humpback season that is a snorkelling awesome trip the aggressor offers

If you are looking for something in the Turks & Caicos, why not check out the Juliet? She is a different sort of fish from what you have been talking about so far, but she appeals to many and is usually considerably cheaper than the aggressor/explorer boats. See my previous reports on her for much more detail. I would not recommend her in rough weather, (see my report on the repositioning cruise last year- hoo boy!) but in calm waters, (most of the time in the T&C's) she is an absolute joy to be aboard. The Juliet is a 3 masted motor schooner which used to be based in Miami, but is permanently moving to the Turks & Caicos this winter. Something to think about.

I recommend the Juliet as well. We had a wonderful Bahamas trip a couple of years ago out of Miami. I have never done their Turks & Caicos itinerary but am seriously considering it. Permanently moving to T & C? I didn't know that. Yes, there are better options out there besides Aggressor and Dancer.

Hi Cali, I too would not recommend the Kona Aggressor, not because of the ship but the diving is not really all that spectacular with easier places to get to in the Caribbean. Curious why you would not consider the Red Sea..? I have some great deals that INCLUDE air fare, 7 day liveaboard $2850 or 7 day liveaboard with Cairo and Luxor tours (4 days) for $3600 on the Sea Queen fleet. Some world class dives in the Red Sea. I have some trips in the Philippines that are very nice too but would have to check availability with dates. Let me know if you would like some assistance.
