I truly feel sorry for all my buddies in North America. Here on Roatan the weather has been fantastic. We arrived Thursday, so far no rain, sunny warm days and calm to moderate winds and seas----and the people---Pedro, Darren, Darry, Kevin, Miguel, Nelson, Ingrid, Wilma, Rocky----I could go on and on because I love Roatan and I love the people here---I also love Fantasy Island, it's become our home away from home--undeniably it's not for everybody, but it fits my lifestyle. Diving here has been really great--vis could be a "little" better but you can't have everything, well it's almost 9:00 and have to head over to the dive shop to catch the boat --will try to post some pictures and more extensive report later.

Well, it was -22 degrees Farenheit in Montreal when I woke up this morning.
I hate you. :D

I think you should rub it in even more by posting in the Canadian and North West sections of the board as well.

Sigh... I know what you mean! Last week I woke up and it was 28 celsius in Roatan, last night I went to bed and it was -29 in Rimouski... :depressed:

Just think to yourself that in Canada, it's a blazing 240 kelvin, or 432 rankine, and in Roatan, an infernally hot 301 kelvin!

Weather is still great, only problem is wind has now come up out of the East-North-East and the seas are rising, but hasn't stopped the diving so far. Water temps are a little cooler than when we were here this time last year by about 2 degrees....on a scale of 1 to 10 so far I give it a 36....but then I do love this place.

I'll rub it in a bit...

Ever seen a "baby" lionfish??? Seriously...I don't know if that's a definite identification, but that's what it looks like to me :D

Better there than on the South shore than anywhere else on the island of Roatan.

Looks like our North American cold weather is heading South and will affect the Caribbean and Roatan, likely making the divers on the North side of the island scramble over the ridge towards Fantasy Island's regular dive sites.

People ask about Roatan weather all the time, here's a perfect example of a "Norther"~ the storms and weather that come down from October through February.

Another reason to follow the Diva.

We'll yell hello across the channel if your still there Saturday.
