Water is usually about 84.

Weather is usually good, diving on the north side, but you never know what storms may blow through. Likely you will get some rain, but no big deal.

Hurricane season is not really strong in July.

We were there in early August last year - close enough. Water was 86 plus, even at depth per my dive computer. We saw several small thunderstorms; nothing major but some heavy brief downpours. We would not hesitate to return at that time of year. With the ocean breezes conditions are more comfortable for the season than in NJ!

Generally, late July through early September is some of the calmest seas...except for when there is a tropical storm/hurricane nearby. As was said above, I would expect 85-86F +/- 1 degree. July is not a very active month for hurricanes usually, but it is during hurricane season, so you can't rule it out completely. I wouldn't let weather concerns stop me from going in July, and given my past experiences with early august and calm seas, I would venture to say it might be a pretty good time to go.

Been to LC or CB every year in early Aug for the last 5 yrs. The weather has always been on the hot side with the occasional rain usually in the late pm. PM Breeze with water in the low 80's.
