My wife and I are planning a trip to LC the first week of June we've got our plane tickets and now we are trying to pick somewhere to stay and dive with. We are leaning toward Paradise Villas this place sounds very laid back and quiet which is what we like. I think they use Conch Club divers for the diving. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations about these two.
thanks,
Greg

Every place on LC is quiet and laid back (aside from occasional complaints about karaoke night at LCBR, which I never hear from the beachfront rooms.)

LCBR, Southern Cross Club, Conch Club - their boats leave from their piers. Pirates Point, Paradise Villas, and I think The Club - you go off site to get to the boat. Not that anyplace is far, but it's not quite as convenient if that matters to you.

Tarheeldiver,

My wife and I have stayed at Paradise Villas for 7 yearly trips, so obviously we love how the resort is operated. Conch Club divers are also top notch. We like to cook, so we avoid the all-inclusives. We get good tasting frozen meats from the grocery 2 min. away and usually grill out, using the grills provided by PV. We usually eat our every other night at the Hungry Iguana. Compared to other resorts and dive ops on LC, I believe it is a very good value.

I am very sad that the economy and an upcoming knee replacement are going to break our string of yearly visits. We have kept going back to Paradise Villas because we have had a wonderful experience each time.

I am envious of you.

Mike

Thanks Mike that's what I was hoping to hear I thought it sounded like a good value and all the reviews have been very positive. But its great to hear from someone who knows the place as well as you. I e-mailed them one day this week but I have not heard back.
Sorry to hear you won't be able to make it this year and I hope the knee does o.k.
thanks,
greg
