Hello, looking to jump over to Little Cayman and dive bloody bay wall. Been to GC tons but never LC.
Can anyone provide accommodation ideas?
Also how much does it cost to eat on the island?
Best dive op?

Thanks in advance

LC is basically all inclusive as far as food goes and the meals are buffet style so there is something for everyone. The food is great and I have no complaints. For me, that's a great bonus as there is never any discussion or time spent deciding where to go for meals. Dive, sleep, eat, dive...repeat as necessary. The ocean front rooms are awesome and the dive ops are solid.....other than the fact that their profiles and bottom time limitations are a bit "limited". The key is to be the first off the boat and last on the boat for longer bottom times.

The other AI on Little is Southern Cross Club. We mostly prefer it over LCBR. But both are good.

There are also some condo options. Conch Club has a dive op but no restaurant. Paradise Villas has a restaurant but no dive op, at least not with a boat on site. (Been ages since they ran their own boat. Since then I think they’ve been driving divers to whichever shop they had an arrangement with.) The Club condos has neither but seemed to have a relationship with LCBR, which is a short walk down the beach.

There might be a couple bar/snack places around the island but not a practical way to get fed for a week. The grocery store is kinda minimal.

One thing about LCBR - they have strong preference bordering on requirement for 7 night Sat-Sat stays, which might be a problem if thats not what you had in mind. If you book close to your trip and they have space they might allow shorter.

The 7 day info is very helpful, Thanks !

Southern Cross does not require Sat to Sat trips. Best accommodations imho.

My last trip to LCBR in May of 2024 we stayed for 10 nights and there was no issue.

if you are looking for less expensive options than Southern Cross or not staying a week at LCBR you might look at Paradise Villas- right near airport with small but clean and comfortable cottages (mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave if I remember correctly) with on site pool and The Hungry Iguana bar and grill. Beach is eroded and kind of rocky but very nice views (especially from the pool imo). When we stayed there in Dec. 2022 someone from Little Cayman divers picked my diver hubby up and brought him back every day in a truck/jeep. I don't know if this is still the correct contact but it was Doug at (345) 938-1026. Hubby liked that it was a small number of divers on the boat every day. There is a small grocery store a few minutes' walk away as well.
