South Africa: Port Nolloth (Diamond) Diving Museum and review.

Japan: Ama Cultural Museum (Freediving)

Greece, Kalymnos: Nautical Museum of Kalymnos (sponge fishing = freediving)

Greece, Limnos: Nea Koutali Museum of Maritime Tradition & Sponge Fishing

Finland, Raahe: 18th-century cowskin diving suit at Crown Granary Museum / diving department). Merikatu 10, Raahe 92100, Finland. And there is a replica.

Slovenia, Piran: The Museum of Underwater Activities

Maritime museums seem to have occasional diving exhibits. The Western Australia museum with its "Immerse: Exploring the Deep" and "James Cameron - Challenging the Deep" exhibits come to mind. But they were temporary :(

It was announced that the International Scuba Diving Hall of Fame will have a new permanent home at the Pedro St. James Historical Site on Grand Cayman. Currently they are housed in the Cayman Islands National Museum:

Although not a diving museum as such, they do have a lot of diving gear in their inventory and do have diving exhibits, check to see if one is on display. It's a good place to pass some time in any event, particularly if you are interested in Submarines and related technology.

They even have Trieste II (DSV 1) and the Mystic (DSRV 1) sitting in the parking lot. And admission is free.

I visited this a few weeks ago. Fascinating, well-done, worth doing.
