I thought I'd start a thread where I could share some links with other new divers who are just getting into scuba. Please post any links that you also think new divers would be interested in.

Here's a link to an excellent collection of diving articles on all aspects of diving from a magazine called Dive Training (I have no affiliation with them):

many members have good and usefull sites.
Just browse thru the posts and look in the sig.lines.
Copy/paste them here and you'l have a great database of dive knowlidge.:D

A few of my favorites:

A source for the US Navy Diving Manual
SEA 00C3 Diving Publications and Technical Documentation

DAN's medical page is a gateway to lots of good info.
DAN Scuba Diving Medical Services

Scubadoc's (Dr Campbell) site is chock full of good stuff.

I like the articles by Dr Sawatsky in most issues of Diver Magazine (Canada).

The WRSTC downloads page has some useful items like common hand signals and the medical statement with contraindications to diving.

Some good info on cylinders and valves.

The Harris Dive Links are probably the best - and most complete - I've seen for all things Scuba related.

Here's some pretty good videos that are not supposed to show you how to do the basic scuba skills, but were actually made to show someone how to demonstrate these skills (still shows you the PADI way to perform the basic skills).
