Problems I see are that for wide angle shooting, the camera requires a wide angle lens add on which will cast a shadow with the built in strobe. That requires the purchase of an external strobe and the investment and size of the camera has shot up. Also, the camera does not shoot RAW images so custom white balance must be adjusted on the spot.
maybe for scuba the 1200HD would be ideal. I mostly free dive spearfish from a rocky shore entry so I need the least bulky and most streamlined equipment. I have no need for add on lens' and external strobes.
