Hey everyone, you will have to forgive me for these questions, but I am confused as to which lights I should purchase. My dilemma is that I need a primary light for night diving, but I also want lights for daytime and nightime video usage. I shoot video with a GoPro Hero 4 Black, and I would like to be able to do this during the day and night utilizing lights to improve the quality of the video. From what I have researched a wide beam angle is best for video but not good at night. A narrow beam angle is good at night but not for video. I think you're getting where I am going with this. How do I purchase lights so that I can use them for video during the day and night and also have a primary light for night? Does the rule that wide angle beams are bad at night go out the window if the lights are bright enough, let's say around 3,000 lumens and up? Any information on a good starting setup would be nice. I don't have a plethora of cash to throw at this, but I want to get started with a decent setup that allows me to meet all my needs of daytime and nighttime. I am interested in details like brand of light, lumens needed to achieve my goals and good video, beam angles, etc. etc. I am currently looking at Big Blue and Underwater Kinetics. Please educate me on this. Thank you!
If it helps, I dive frequently here in San Diego where I live and tropical water all other times. I am going to Cozumel in less than 2 weeks so I need to make a decision!!!
