I think we were there in December previously. As Stoo said, they weren't noticeable during mid-day, but at dawn and dusk you definitely wanted some spray. I would often fish off of the back service dock during the day when we had breaks from diving. It was as good a spot as any to get bit and they weren't bad during the day.

I'd be more concerned about the crocs out back at dusk, rather than the 'skeeters!

I'd fish pretty late and never saw one. I'd see tracks in the sand however when I walked the shoreline in the morning.
