Light storage

How do you store your disposable battery light after a dive? Do you keep the batteries inside the torch for a second dive or replace them every dive?

I leave mine in the lights. I do remember reading somewhere not to store torches (or maybe my particular torch) without batteries.

Do you put anything with the batteries to absorb the humidity (Silica Gel for example)?
