Looking for an inexpensive dive light and video light - not looking for any $1,000 light system. The UK Light canon 100 with the beam adapters seems like a decent light for the $ - anyone have experience with this one? Just looking for something to peer under the ledges and then throw the beam adapter on for some quick GoPro video...

I personally wouldn't buy an HID light anymore - the bulbs tend to be fragile and break over time unless handled carefully. Also it's older technology and the newer generation of dive lights is mostly eLED now - they don't break and are better on battery life. If you're wanting a Light Cannon, LP also sells the Light Cannon eLED for $205. Underwater Kinetics Light Cannon eLED with Pistol Grip

One advantage it has is nearly double the light output - 825 vs. 450 lumens.

You know that it's hugely bigger than your GoPro right? So you'd likely need a tray and arm to keep it steady for filming. So add about $50-60+ for that. And you'd need the UK mount adapter - I think they're $30. I looked at a couple of Light Cannon's once a few years ago as video lights but it seemed like there were so many better, smaller options for not much more money.

A couple other options that are 2X brighter than the UK HID (also cost 1/4 more...):

We also have a GoPro forum where other lighting options are discussed: GoPro Video

A few other video options here if you can push the budget - http://www.opticaloceansales.com/focus-video-lights/cat_6.html

I use one of these as a dive light - it's remarkably bright - esp. in the dark. And $42. http://www.piranhadivemfg.com/item/Penetrater-220-1560
It wouldn't make a good video light though as there are reflector circles in the output.
