Hmmm... Man, you seriously talk about decomposition of calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2?
For me - in sealed storage it's absolutely not to be real, nor taking to account.

Various limes compositions are not published, AFAIK,
so we can talk about known compositions. For example - russian lime.
Sodium hydroxide NaOH- 4%
Water H2O - 16-21%
Sodium + calcium carbonates Na2CO3 + CaCO3 - no more than 4%
Calcium hydroxide Ca(OH)2 - up to 100%
IMHO - binding agents are hydroxides itself. Wet, pressed and dried.
Water cannot exit from sealed container/keg,
so, water loss while pouring sorb to scrubber and and reaction with atmospheric CO2
are a lot negligible to take into accounting.
 
The atmosphere is 0.045% Co2 your exhaled breath 4-5% so ~100x higher. The Co2 getting into the keg through opening and closing and the walls of the polyethylene keg itself is inconsequential
 
The problem is not CO2 but moisture.

What if you left a keg in a hot car for a couple weeks and perhaps didn’t close the lid perfectly tight?
