It’s with solemn sadness and respect that Blue XT~Sea announces that one of our divers yesterday suffered a fatality from what has been attributed to a pre-existing medical condition.

Our team, who acted in accordance with all appropriate emergency procedures - CPR, EMS and other heroic measures - are understandably saddened. We ask that you take a quick moment and tell someone that you love dearly how important they are to you, and that you please respect the privacy of the family, friends, staff and crew as this is understandably a very difficult time for everyone involved.

thoughts and prayers to all concerned.

I'm very sorry to read about this. My condolences to all involved. Having recently suffered the loss of a friend in the group with which I was diving, I know how profoundly everyone is affected.

Thoughts and prayers for you, your crew and the family involved. What a tragic situation. :(

This is always sad, and my condolences to the family. For whatever comfort it may bring, if I was going to die of a stroke or heart attack, given a choice between keeling over while at work making an argument to a judge, while mowing my lawn, or peacefully in bed, or while diving the reefs of Cozumel, going while diving is my first choice, by quite a ways.

My condolences to all involved, & like DiverDan if I'm going to go it's one of the ways I'd like it to be but that wouldn't make it easy for those there at the time.

Condolences to your team and the diver's family. Although we have no control over the time and place, we all hope that when our time is up, we can go quickly and doing something we love.

Not my choice at all, mostly because of the impact it'd have on all around me, but aside from the traumatic impact on the other divers, the crew, and Christi - I do hope he had a nice dive trip otherwise. When I have to go, I'd prefer how my mom went - after returning home from a nice trip, and suddenly. I won't go on with secondary choices and beyond.

Although we have no control over the time and place
Well, that's totally false or we wouldn't stop at red lights or take a thousand other precautions we do daily. It may come as a surprise along the best laid plans of mice & men path, but I guess it's 90% controllable in the US & Coz.

I do sincerely sympathize with Christi, her crew, and her other customers as well as this man's loved ones. It happens to all of us, but it's always sad. I know that Christi takes the best care of her guests possible, and I do hope that she can reject any feelings of responsibility here as I am certain he got the best care possible before and after the event.
