We were certainly initially a bit leery of joining a gay organization -- like why would we want to do that? -- but the trips sounded great so we went on a short trip with them. The people were so nice, so helpful in diving issues like gear and techniques, and best of all -- the trips were well-organized! (I had been part of volunteer organizations before -- there was chaos! But these guys had it together, that was clear from the start.)
Now that we have made friends with a few club members and we look forward to diving or socializing with them on trips or not on trips. It's aways great to make new friends.
