May 4th the Dutch remember the end of WWII.

The end of a black page in world history, milions died, because a madman had a vision.
One of the last country's to be liberated,I'm to young to have been there but my parents and Grand Parents, did out live this period, and we where told never to forget.

At 20.00h(localtime) we take 2min.of silence. Please join and remember and be happy we live in relative peace.

In this war,
Dutch,
US,
English,
Polish,
Belgium,
Indian,
Canadian, soliers died, and this is just to name a FEW.
Many, many more have lost their lives to make sure WE can live in relative freedom.

LET"S NOT FORGET.

Let's NOT forget those who are no longer with us,from that war or any other.

Thanks El.could not find that link.
But my post is not only for the Dutch,
BUT FOR ALL LIVES LOST IN ANY CONFLICT.
It just comes up for me at this time of year.

Let's hope we will ALL remember, dose who are lost.
Than and in ALL recent conflicts.

As a young boy, my father lived through the Nazi occupation of Holland. He didn't talk about it very often, but what he did tell me makes me very appreciative of the life that I have been able to live.
