I'm a Fish!
Hey, Birds !!!!

Just a thought . . .
We all the time hear about dive clubs doing clean up dives. That's all well and good, but those things marginally serve or affect the overall populus.

Here's an idea.

How about us working as a dive club to do the 2006/2007 New Year's Day dive for charity?

Invite other divers from wherever to join us. Like any other event, have sponsors to pledge to say $0.50 or more per minute of dive.

We could have one of our non-diving spouses check the divers in and out and give them an official dive time based either on the divers computer or the check-in/check-out roster.

I'm wide open for suggestions for which charitable organization whe should support.
Any thoughts?

Sounds like a fun dive.... could be a big event... I'm in.... if I can help just let me know....

Thanx, Doc . . .
It's a little too late to get it organized for this year, but I think we could "Gitterdun!"

That would be a great idea! I guess now I will HAVE to get the drysuit by New Years 2006/2007 dive! The warmer I am the longer I can stay down...the longer I'm down the more goes to charity!

I will support and help this out in any way possible.

Come on jeremy, we need to do it in our skins, that way we know we are freezing for a cause.

And buy the way K, im in for whatever charity we decide on. Heather did the breast cancer 3 day walk last month, she raised $2,100 to do the walk.

WOW !!!
That's great, Heather (you'll have to tell her I said so)!!!
Perhaps this is something we can discuss at the cookout.

A cookout sounds good. I might have a person in the print business that would donate some or all the flyer printing... If we were to go that route...
