I might be interested in this. I have a condo in Tahoe so we could all crash there, up to 4 of use anyway. I have ZERO lake or altitude dive experience so we would need a good guide. Keep me posted.

Divinman

Thank you for your offer. I am looking for other people to post here and then we can plan a safe dive in Lake Tahoe.

Uh, you guys go ahead with out me. I have talked to people who have dove lakes including Tahoe. From their reports, I think I will stay home a read the paper or better yet go dive my local ocean. In addition I have been bent before and the additional risk altitude ads makes this less desirable to me. But when you do go, don't forget to chill lake side for several hours after. If memory serves me right you do have to go up in altitude a bit to get out of Tahoe.

If you do go, I will look forward to a detailed report.

Last of all, do I have to dive the lake to stay at your condo? :crafty:

We dive at altitude quite a bit including Tahoe and some other lakes up in the mountains. In fact, we're diving at a lake tomorrow that's about 4000'. There are a few small sunkin boats around Tahoe and a bunch of bottles and stuff boaters have lost over the side that you can find. Lake diving can be fun and there is a lot of things to see. Of course you don't get all the pretty colors and fish in some of the lakes but it's still a nice dive.

Also on the altitude issue, we have drove to Tahoe, and with in an hour of arriving done back to back dives in the 100' range(with about a 90 min SI), had lunch and drove back down the hill without any problems.

I am looking for experienced divers to team up for Lake diving.

Let’s get in touch and plan a dive trip to Lake Tahoe, or any other lakes in California.
i've done lake tahoe before with EAN 34 & 38 and drove down after the boat trip without a problem. won't recommend driving down to lower elevation right away if you used air.

This is nice. We need more experienced people to plan this dive. We may be able to do it in the late August or early September.

I'd be up for this in Sept.

September is good for me & Mark. :bang:

Is it OK for you Divinman?

kf6cxf, and boomx5 are you going to join us?

People if you want to come to lake Tahoe just let us know soon.
