Hi folks:

I'm looking to mount a "spare" lens on an ultralight control systems arm (the standard skeletonized arm, not solid). Specifically, it would be either a macro or wide-angle lens, depending on the dive, that I would then switch on and off my main lens (via Inon AD type bayonet mount). Inon makes a mount, but it is pretty steep ~$45. Does anyone have ideas as to a less expensive alternate? My BC pockets are not very convenient (scubapro Knighthawk) and I'd be afraid of scratching the lens as well.

Thanks

You could try digital lens dock here: http://www.gbundersea.com/camacc.htm
Price is not much better than the Inon but I like the save a lens kit that comes with the setup. However you will have to be a bit innovative at mounting the lens dock. I used to use it on Ikelite round arm and it worked well for macro lens but wide angle lens is bit too heavy and bulky to really mount on the arm, in my opinion.
If you use Inon wide angle lens with Inon domeport then the Inon lens mount would be the most secure.
