I forgot to mention that with some zooms, the location of the entrance pupil will move relative
to the body as you zoom. and with some non-internal-focusing fixed length lenses, it will move
relative to the body as you focus.

Either of these is a bad thing in a dome port.

Hi-

I am new to the forum, and I am wondering if you could give any recommendations as to the best equipment to buy for someone who has experience diving, but not taking pictures underwater (not very good with a camera)?:cool2:

Scubaproman....the best equipment is the one that you can afford. Its like saying whats the best car out there.........Farrari, Porsche.....but you can only afford a Ford or GM?

Whats the best setup for $X,XXX.......might be better?

Regards Mark

Thanks to everyone for your advice. I have purchased a Sigma 17-70 OS model on Ebay. Got a good deal and will take it UW in the Keys next month for the first time wet except for the pool.

Thanks again.

Harry
