Hi,

I'm going to North Sulawesi in a couple of weeks, and will of course have to go to Lembeh for the famed critters. Funds are not unlimited, so I have been looking at some budget accommodation/diving options. Has anybody got any experience with the options listed below? We've got a month, so money is more of a restriction than time. This means that rather than doing 4 dives a day for 5 days, we'd like to stay for a while diving whenever we feel like it (who wouldn't).

Go to http://www.lembehresort.com/ it is operated by Murex lodge which is outside Manado. They also have a local style live-a-board boat. They are very good to deal with.

I stayed at Sulawesi Dive Quest's resort on Lembeh in April. There were and I believe still are only 5 cabins (sleeps 2 each). The cabins are pretty new, clean and comfortable. It's not air conditioned though.

Since there were 10 people in my group, it practically became a exclusive resort for us.

I highly recommend that place. Food's above average, not fantastic.

Compared to Papa Boa on Bunaken, that place is paradise!
