Placed my order just now. They have a sale going on for lots of stuff and I got one of the Glotubes with the 7 modes for 21 bucks. I am not affiliated with or employed by them. But I am cheap and try not to pass up good geals and great ones draw me like a moth to a flame!

A $25 mini Q40 Xenon, a $10 P4 LED module from dealextreme.com + 30 minutes of grinding work and you'll have a pretty impressive 240 lumen backup light with a 2-3 hour burn time. Brighter than my old UK C8.

Another alternative is a $30 LED Lenser Frogman + a P4 LED + a 2.2 ohm 1.5W resistor and 5 minutes of soldering. Not quite as bright as the Q40 as the resistor is less efficient than the driver in the module, but still approximately 180 lumens. Completely outshines for instance the 130 lumen Aqualung Mini Vega.

Gulftex photon torpedo
These will last you a lifetime

I love my photon torpedo and Chuck is a stand up guy. I accidentally dumped the copper strip and spring out with my batteries once, so I emailed chuck to ask him how much it would cost me to replace the parts. He replaced the parts for free, shipping and all.

The new OMS vega k2 is a very nice little light just a little small. The brightness of the vega k2 is so much better then my H LED light. Of course it does not take the standard c battery set up. This from a guy who is not a big fan of OMS.

I have a buddy who has one of those. He has to replace the battery pretty often and it's not a common battery that you can just run up to the nearest convenience store to get. It's one of those CR12 batteries that you can find at electronics stores and they are expensive.

Checkout the DORCY lights. 6 triple A batteries, al body 300 ft depth rating. very tight beam and 180 lumens! Around 50 bucks each. I had an ad for them selling at 2 for 98 but can't find it now. Pissed cause was gonna order 2 more!

Amazon has em for 44.99 and found it! Pirahna dive has em for 2 fo 93.98

I agree. Piranha Dive Mfg. two for less than $100. Great lights, 8 hour burn time.
