What are the least expensive ST wings available? Need something for my BP while DMing OW classes...can't stand to use my jacket BC another day!y

Thanks, Trey

look for a used one on ebay - They tend to be cheaper than new ones... fwiw - I regularly find new single tank wings for under/about $200 - http://www.scubal.com has the maximus wing for $149 .... though I'd rather spend an extra $50 and get a Pioneer or Venture from Halcyon or Pioneer. You might also call http://www.northeastscubasupply.com/bc_stuff/bc_wings.html and ask about buying a wing from them as they seem to have good prices on bp/wing starter packages... Remember you'll also need cambands (http://www.scubal.com has 2 for $12 if you don't mind cutting off some excess)

If it helps I've got a list of wings at http://www.kidspot.org/personal/scuba/bpwing.html

btw - did you just need a wing, or plate, harness etc..?

Aloha, Tim

Thanks, I've got the cams and STAs...I was using my 45# wing with bungies (see avatar) for singles, but it's too floppy. I'll check there too (eBay and NE)...think I'll stay away from the Maximus...looks scarry. I'll check out the link!

Nice wing chart Kidspot. Thanks. Very handy for us lazy people.

Thanks for the comments - it's just a compilation mostly from manufacturers websites (and a few submitted comments by users) to make research a little simpler and give folks a starting point when shopping for new gear...

Aloha, Tim

Sorry...should have said least expensive *functional*...thanks for that link kidspot. Very informative!

Check out golemgear.com Jakub has some good prices on his golem gear wings.
His service is great and he's very helpful on the phone.

I just purchased an Oxy wing and Dss Plate from him. His golem brand may be attractive to you.

"Why would you be attracted to cheapest anything?"

I once saw a rusted out old El Camino with four different size tires and smoke coming out of everywhere put the spank on a bright red Italian super car Lambo in Reno. One cost enough to retire on and the other cost about 50 bucks. Cheap can be good and and at least when it ain't you don't have a quarter million in it. N
