Least Attractive Aspect of Scuba

I was doing a training dive recently and I had to do a shared air ascent from 100ft without a mask that included deco stops. About 10 minutes into the ascent, my sinuses decided to begin clearing themselves. Essentially I looked like I was trying to smuggle a jellyfish out of the water in my nose.

So I challenge you... what have you seen or experienced while diving that would not make the runway at a fashion show.

The worst thing is getting puked on in the water. In rough seas one day I was putting people on a tag line and after the last one, I was looking down with my head in the water when I noticed all these chunks floating by. The lady up current had puked.

Being in a dive boat during a severe squall in Belize where 13 of 15 people had heaved (and more than a few being too sick to even get their heads over the side) left a series of vomit rings on our lower legs from the bilge water sloshing about.

Given the fact that most onboard thought there was a high probablility of capsizing, it was a farily minor concern at the time.

well, being a good buddy means doing the mandatory snot check. I always look out for my buddies. i will even wipe it off for them just to show my love.
