Thanks in advance for the advice.

I have a valve (Ocean Dynamics k-valve) that I noticed leaking gas after my last dive. I changed the o-ring and it is still leaking, very slightly but I can see the bubbles. So, what next? The valve did not look damaged. No distinct marks in the metal and the new o-ring doesn't look damaged. What else should I look for to fix this?

Regards,

Joe

Where was the gas leaking? If it was at the neck of the tank then it's the seal between the valve and tank, not the valve-to-reg seal. If it was the other end of the valve (the valve-to-reg seal) that was leaking, check to make sure that you don't have the reg a little off-center on the valve, and that the part on the reg that seals against the o-ring in the valve isn't nicked or anything.

The leak was between the regulator and valve. I also tried it (my reg) on my other tank and it worked fine, no leaks. This made me assume that the problem was with the valve. I will check the regulator's seal area.

if the valve is leaking from the outlet the seat is wore out
if it is leaking from where the tank meets the valve it may be an o-ring or a cracked cylinder
