There are 3 LCU sunk off Oahu. One off Hawaii Kai and two off Waianae. I was wondering if anyone knows the hull number or name for any of them.

I believe they are LCU 1466 class and many of them service in Vietnam. I know they were
provided by the Navy and intentionally sunk in 1998 as part of Hawaii's ongoing artificial reef program.

I've got a bunch of pictures of the Shallow LCU off of Waianae, I'll root through them and see if I can turn anything up. If nothing else, we may just have to dive them all to solve this mystery :) .

Peace,
Greg

any mariners know which part of the ship the hull-number is usually stamped on?

Some where near the wheel house.
