A local group out of Somerset dove Laurel Lake @ the Spillway on Wednesday May 25th. We dove in the corner where the original road ran down at 80 feet. We found the dive to be extremely comfortable with the proper exposure protection, (6mm wetsuit, hood, gloves, etc.). The first 20 feet had good visibility of around 20 feet. From 20 feet down to around 45 - 50 feet the visibility dropped down to around 10 feet with a white, murky look to it. However, the visibility was outstanding from 50 feet down to the bottom which was around 80 feet in that area. Visibility jumped back to the 20 to 25 foot range. A little dark but nothing that a good primary flashlight couln't handle.
A friend came by to say they dove it yesterday (June 1, 2005), and said they had the same experience with the vis getting better past the 40 foot mark. I hear the sweet sound of exhaust bubbles!!

So what kind of temps did you run into Dean?
Reg is working fine, Thanks again.
The surface temp was around 68. Down at depth (80 feet), it dropped down to around 54. The current report out of Dale Hollow also is great. I think I might have mentioned to you Chris about the Houseboat/dive boat down at Willow Grove on Dale Hollow. I've not been down there in 3-4 years. We went down there with 15 divers and rented their converted Houseboat /dive boat for the whole day for $150.00. I would love to gather a group together for a return trip. We dove the old school house (20 ft.) and two other dives that day. They had a grill on the boat and an upper deck also. Something to think about!

Count me in too!
