Hi,

I did not get around on time to publish my pictures of a nice weekend on Portsmouth, NH. I went out with Northeast Charters great crew ....Thanks

We headed to the island and got to do four dives with two tanks....I planned only two dives, but as it turns out to be the dive boat was not heading to the seal s's pool on their first dive. They had a class from Den scuba shop and if you guessed it.....yes the shop told me we were going to see the seals. Anyhow after talking to captain Bill he told me the second boat dive was to the seals cove.

So I book for a second dive boat....thing is I only had two 120s, which turned out to be a lifesaver with water temps and the dives depths. I was able to squeeze four dives.

We, first dive was for the class at 86feet .....sandy bottom did not really got to see anything interesting. Of course vis was at least 25 feet. For the second dive we went shallow (to the Babb's rock). Full of critters mostly crabs and sea stars.

The in the afternoon after a break for lunch at the dock we came back to the seals cove. We saw in our way one or two Sun fish (i like more mola mola). When we arrive we did not see any seals at first ....large faces started to draw. But, after few more mins the little ba...showed their heads. We gear-up and proceed to get into the pool...unfortunately I took a wrong heading and did not go over the rocks to get into the pool. For the second dive low tide we actually (three more divers) managed to drag ourselves over the rocks and get to the right spot.

Lots of fish and critters ...we waited patient for the seals to come. But, somehow we managed to scare them and they could only be seen to the distance. Almost at the end of the dive when the capt called out the divers. I managed to get the picture below....at least a shot of good luck.

About the pictures.....look closely and you will find....shrimps and my reflection!

Thanks
Ed
