We just received our copy of Sport Diver and were pleased and appauled at the article regarding Blue HOle, our local dive spot! It was great to see an article however there was something mentioned that we think needs to be cleared up. The tombstone in the bottom for Chris Musick - the article says he was a military member killed in the war. Not true. We knew Chris and his wife, both divers from Wyoming. He was a member of the Air Force and stationed in Wyoming, never serving in the war. He died in a car accident in Wyoming when he lost control of his car and hit a snow plow head on.
I haved e-mailed Sport Diver to tell them of their error. I am sure they got this information from rumors spread at Blue Hole by people who had no idea about this tombstone so I wanted to set the record straight. Please, if anyone asks you about it, tell them the true story - he was a diver and died in a car accident, not diving and not in the war.

Good to know the "rest of the story". I did know that he didn't die diving, RIP.

Thanks,

my husband was at BH this weekend and spoke to Stella about it and she said she knew the whole story already so the bad information wasn't spread by her. I would guess it came from the other dive shop who's owner was interviewed in the article.

I did think it was amazing that they managed to corral all 4 fish into one shot :)
