I know this is last minute, but that seems to be the way I run my life. We are going to Cozumel (yeah) tomorrow. My husband wants to know the best way to check his phone messages back in the states from Cozumel. I've read that calling cards don't always work. I have also heard about a Ladatel card that can be purchased from the phone company - works like a debit card - but am not sure if that is still available. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
By the way, this is our first scuba trip. We are getting our OW on Mon. & Tues and then diving the rest of the week. Pretty exciting. We are staying at Casa Martillo and diving with Dive Paradise.

The Calling Station on the main drag near Casa Mexicana will connect you to a US number pretty cheaply. I made a few calls when I was there for a couple of bucks apiece.
