Brisas has a tunnel across the road, FA does not (but there is very little traffic that far south). The rinse tank at Brisas is right on the way up from the dock.

FA has lockers, not hooks to hang gear on. You have to be there at exactly the right time to score a locker, because they tend to be occupied. Show up after the morning boat gets in, when departing guests are clearing our thier things. Keep your eyes peeled and your fingers crossed and you might get lucky.

I really enjoyed the food at FA, especially the lunches at the REEF restaurant.

I stayed at Brisas at the end of May 2003 (about a month ago). I was very satisfied with what I got. It wasn't top end, but neither was the price. I got a package for diving, room, and food/drinks.

Food was acceptable. Buffet style for all except sunday night. Huge pool in the courtyard, and a new pool on the beach. They DO have lockers on the dock. There was no charge for us to use one. We stuck everything but wetsuits and BC's in a locker. For those we used the built in closet rods on the balcony. They have two decent sized rince "fountains"with hooks though they got busy when all the boats came in. Probably room for 6-8 people to be dunking at the same time.

Brisas is within walking distance to town, though we did take a Taxi a few times.

We dove with Dive Paradise - no complaints. Shore snorkeling/diving wasn't bad to do a few times.
