The lake is coming up nicely with all the rain the past few weeks, more is expected this week. Current level is 670' with a full lake at 681'. Keep an eye on the lake conditions at Current LTTS Weather Readings.

DUI Dog Rally is at Windy Point, Lake Travis April 10 & 11. The lake should be full by then, no need to walk down a flight of stairs to get in the water for shore divers and plenty of clean walls to dive from Giant Stride. Put it on your schedule to come down for a Dry Suit test dive if you are not a dry suit owner or bring your suit out for a dive during the event.

We are going to have a great dive season on the lake, looking forward to seeing you soon.

We could be flooding by next month if the rain keeps up. I still remember the WPP dive from the shoreline at the fill station and going under the oak trees following the dirt trails to the stairs all underwater.

I think I started down at the stairs and my depth gauge said 15feet (deep) at the top of the stairs. Pretty cool diving It just kept going down down down and black.

I remember that, also. Richard had buoys attached to the stairs, so we could find them. We descended down to the platform probably following the stairs. The viz was so bad from the runoff you couldn't see your gauges. We ended up snorkeling around the camping area.

We must have dove on different days, I had at least 6 foot of visibility until 60 feet where it went to..............................you know...............................none........
It's still lake travis diving......................:rofl3:

A few years back (the big flood), they opened the dam which pulled out all the cold water and crud. Viz that summer was unbelievable and temps were 83 degrees at 130 ft. We can always hope.

The lake passed the 676' mark, only five feet more until full lake. This is going to be a great dive season on Lake Travis.
