I did a search on Rayburn and came up with little info, so it's thread time.

There is a possiblity I will go dive Lake Sam Rayburn this weekend, I think around the San Augustine area, and I'm hoping to get some tips from anyone who's done it before. Supposedly there is a old town and cemetary at about 100' somewhere in this area, but Google dosen't seem to know anything about it. Any Rayburn divers out there??

I've heard the same 'old town' story about just about every big lake in Texas! I hope this one is true.

Me too. I wish I had a camera so I could prove it. We'll also be looking for arrowheads, something I have a pretty good amount of experiance at on land excavating fire pits, but this will be a first. I'll let ya'll know what we find.

I'm looking to head there this weekend. Anyone recommend any favorite spots?
