Redondo Beach was as flat as I have ever seen it tonight. With the impending storm, Merry and I rushed to get in a dive. I rushed so much I forgot our weightbelts. After driving home in my drysuit we headed into the clear, cool and calm water. As soon as we dropped, two sea lions came to welcome us, or scare us. I'm not sure which.
The visibility in the Salad Bowl was a nice fifteen feet, but dropped to ten feet deeper in the canyon. I had 61F at depth.
It was juvenile night at Vet's. Baby moonsnails, crabs, shrimp and a tiny octopus skated along the sand. Schools of baitfish swirled overhead until we headed back toward the beach, where the visibility began to drop by the end of the dive.

Man, i need to go out with you guys to vets... My last few times the viz and surf/surge have been horrible.. I live in El Segundo so let me know next time!!

I was out with my buddy Dave last night boat diving in front of Palos Verdes - Conditions were fabulous - Halibut on the bottom, small shark and a surprise for my buddy - An electric eel.

Awesome! I was wondering if anyone had caught the calm before the storm....good to know you did and it was great!

Marian and I got in two terrific dives off the Lois Ann in San Diego. Dropped on the Yukon and Ruby E to the best conditions and viability I've ever seen there, 30-40' easy.

Excellent Report! I've been staying dry due to an ailment, but from what the LOLA forecast over the weekend it must have been solid conditions around the peninsula. Why no Long Point dive this past Sat/Sun? I really wanted to hit Sunday Services, but residual congestion kept me out.

Charlie dove Catalina with the Pacwild club on the Bottomscrater over the weekend. Visibility was 50+ all day :(

I was in Phoenix Friday-Sunday. We got back late Sunday night, so after work Monday I checked out the water and rushed home to pack gear. Since you talked to Merry last week, you know what happens when I rush to pack gear. :(
